Taking care of our words

There are many reasons why each of us picks up a piece of paper or any note app in our devices and starts writing.
Writing has been an important act since the dawn of time, leaving a trace of who we are at the precise moment we do it has something sacred about it.
We often feel an urge to leave a trace of ourselves, of something that has happened, or to recount our experience.

Anyone with a phone can showcase their life, real or fictitious.
Anyone can satisfy their human need to be seen or read, the point is that we need to communicate, we need people to be witnesses of our being in the world.
Most of the time this does not happen consciously, in fact we all write to tell a story and do not always realize that in doing so we leave something of ourselves to others.
This is simply fantastic but also simply dangerous.
Words live from the moment we think them, they take shape the moment we write them to something that is bigger than ourselves.
Words can create worlds, destroy lives, raise hopes, make us think, move us, make us feel part of something that is bigger than us.
Words heal the writer and heal the reader, which is why we should reflect on the words we give to the world and the words we choose to hear.
Reading words that make us feel good is an act of love for ourselves and those around us.
Similarly, writing words that make us feel good are an act of love for ourselves and those around us. That is why I am here now.
Why this, why now
Recently there are many happenings in my life that are making me think that each of us can do something very special for others despite not being aware that we can do it.
I do not presume to transform the world with my words, but if even one of my words here or elsewhere had the potential to help even one person in this world, I would be very grateful for having the courage to express it.
Courage, a word not often heard on people's lips.
Courage, a word from another time? A word for the few?
Courage is a word we should repeat to ourselves whenever we wonder what would be best to do in a given circumstance.
Courage is everything we enact the moment we go beyond ourselves, the moment we step out of our comfort zone.
So, yes, the courage to think of ourselves differently than we are, to think of ourselves as we feel, in the way, in that specific and beautiful way in which we are us and only us is it is the first step to change our internal world and consequently our real life.
Even the impossible is possible if we truly want it. Mine are meant to be words of freedom, thoughts that can build others and others, yours.
